The boy turns one today. This is far longer than I have been able to keep a plant alive. Therefore it must be reasoned that kids are easier to care for than plants.

Kids don't need constant sun. They keep fine in the closet but the rubber plant dies in the closet.

We had to have kids to prove we could keep living things alive, too. We've killed several spider plants in our day. Suffice it to say that it wouldn't be wise for me to try to grow my own hops.......

Yeah, kids are ok. Plants need nuture and attention and pampering. Even then they tend to die. Kids just need Cheetos and Mountain Dew and they idolize you.
