Hey all, I had no idea where else to go for help.
My father had a 3 line system in his basement bar, and his chest freezer he uses as a kegerator went out, so I found him a great deal on a freezer of the exact same size.
He gets it home, and he wants to go all out with the wood collar and everything. After he gets that on, he is convinced that he needs some sort of a latch. I tell him to leave well enough alone, but he drills... *clank!* *hssssssss*.
I know nothing about fridge/freezer repair, he is certain that someone can simply pump freon in and Mighty Putty the hole. Is this possible? Are there any other solutions besides "new freezer"?
