Im going to be building my kegerator this weekend and have a quick question. I will be using a 7.2 cu ft freezer with a 2x6 wood collar. Should I use pressure treated wood for the collar so moisture wont build up in the wood over time, or is this a bad thing to do? If it matters I will be wrapping 1x6 around my 2x6 for a finishing touch.

Thanks.

I would go pressure treated unless you plan on staining/sealing/painting inside of collar...

If your going to sandwich it between some other woods...then yeah, I'd go with the pressure treated. Make sure you put some poly on the outside lumber to seal it from the moisture too.
