I needed a diversion to keep my paws off my HB that is conditioning. So.......

Got this 1/4 keg and it seemed under carbed and flat. I ran the CO2 pressure up to 20 PSI and after a few days it tastes a lot better, after trying 12 PSI for a couple of days. Dispenses quite well with 10' of 3/16th tubing to the tap at that pressure.

Seems odd that I would need this much pressure for a beer like this. I would imagine someone with a hand pump would have really been p***ed if they would have gotten this keg.

Who cares. People who drink hand pump beer (well, other than cask ale drinkers) are the same crowd who would piss in a cathedral or spit on a masterpiece piece of art. We beer connoisseurs alone know how to nurse an injured ale or lager back to health using love, care and devotion.
