Ha! I read about this over on slashdot this morning. My only question is what happens after you have a few beers and lose your NFC card in a drunken stuppor? Hopefully someone has a backup card somewhere close, otherwise I see Mr. Android getting destroyed pretty quickly when someone needs another round

What's wrong with manually operating a tap handle? While cool as a novelty thing, it doesn't seem practical, as I could poor my own beer in a fraction of the time, and I always give myself a heavy 12 oz.
