I finished building my keezer using a brand new 5 cu ft Arctic King chest freezer. It came out great, but I've noticed that it occasionally makes loud knocking or popping sounds. It seems to be related to the expansion and contraction of the inetrior of the freezer. Maybe it's because it's desiged to be run as a freezer and not to sit at the 36 degree range.

Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution? I have feeling it's just something I'm going to have live with, but I thought I'd check here first.

Thanks.

I have an Arctic King 7 CF that I run at various temps (between 34 and 64F), and it doesn't make noises. Is it in a hot room? If it's popping and making noises, I'd say the refrigerant is low, even though it's brand new.
