i started a 5 gallon batch of cider exactly 9 days ago. its still fermenting like crazy. i still plan on letting it go untill this coming weekend. im curious. :)


5gal natural apple juice
2lb dextrose
trappist high gravity wyeast

fermenting in a 5gal deer park bottle.

And at the weekend, what do you plan on doing? Do you have a hydrometer? If so, what was your starting gravity? I'll take a guess and say in the 1.070 - 1.080 range. What are your intentions with this batch, do you want a semi-sweet, or a dry cider? Or do you plan on backsweetening? Oh so many variables.:mug::tank:
 
My current batch of 5 1/2 gallons, fermented for a solid 20 days. Went from 1079 to 1000. So days can easily vary.
