I brewed a batch of pale ale yesterday and pitched it with the yeast slurry off the bottom of a batch of Belgian strong ale. The og was 1.056 and after 18 hrs still no activity. Does anyone think it will take off and begin fermenting? The Belgian came out great!

Should blow up! ;) Yeah... should be fine. Check the SG after a week or so... I bet it's fermenting...

I hope so. Usually a pretty fat exploding krausen on top at this point which is what has me worried.

What temp is the wort at? Belgians like warm temperatures and may stay asleep if kept cold.

I had it in my chamber at 65 where the other one is but thought it might be a bit cool so I brought it in the house where its sitting at about 70 or so.

Giving it till Wednesday morning and pitching a liquid pacman pack if gravity hasn't changed.

Thanks for the tips guys.
