Is this a good refractometer?

Looks like a good price .. wanted to check with you guys before I pulled the trigger.

That's a very good price, but that's about all I can tell you about it. Check the venors ebay record and see how he rates. You're not out much if it's junk, but there's really not much to these things and they all look nearly identical.

I bought the same one from the same seller a few month ago and I am perfectly happy with both.

The reason it is a lot less than others is it is not the "latest and greatest" model. It has a tiny screwdriver for calibration rather than a knob (less chance of accidentally screwing it up in my book), and some other slight differences you might notice if you had them side by side. Overall, it does the job, and I like the blue color.
