So last night I decided to make a starter for for yeast last night. I boiled about 1/2 DME and pitched a vial of White Labs Belgian Style yeast when the wort cooled.

This morning it didnt look like there was any activity and the yeast was settled at the bottom. The smell was sour... like sour milk.

Is my yeast spoiled?

Should I see more activity?

Can I pitch this in my main batch?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Beer, yeasty unhopped beer. Also try feeding it some more wort maybe you missed fermentation, sometimes its real fast. I had a white labs hefe yeast do the same to me I fed it some more the next day it went off so I dumped it in and its one of the best yeasts I've used strong and fast, I top crop it and keep it on hand.
