I have an Irish car bomb stout in my fermenter and I am planning on adding jamenson and vanilla beans after 2 weeks when I go into secondary. I was thinking of adding an oz or 2 of oak chips in the secondary then racking into another carboy after a week and letting it sit for an additional week or 2. Is this a good idea?
I have only brewing for a few months so I am still new to everything.

I would appreciate any and all feedback

I'd probably skip the tertiary, and just bottle it after the week or so on oak. Sounds delicious!
