I haven't bought any equipment yet. Thought I'd join a forum or 2, read a bit, then go get some started equipment. I'd really like to brew a porter.

Welcome!

If you haven't done it yet, read How To Brew by Palmer. The first edition is free online

Then, there are plenty of places to get a decent equipment setup. If you don't have a local homebrew shop, you can use one of the many online places.

Personally, I like Midwest

It's a great hobby - I'm sure you'll have fun

Thanks for the link by Palmer!

I've brewed about 6 batches so far and am really enjoying myself! It's SUCH a nice feeling to get tipsy on your own beer and to share it with friends.

I've got an American Brown Ale in primary ferment right now. Should be good!

Hey well I'd love to do all grain brewing but just don't have the equipment, so I'm doing partial mashes. I've done about 6 batches so far and am having a blast! Thanks for the encouragement!
