I brewed a double IPA/pliny clone. Fermentation started 7 days ago, and its still going. I used a blowoff tube for the first 4 days or so then switched to.an airlock. I brewed this same beer last month, and it finished out in 4 or 5 days. Why would this batch still be fermenting?

A few different things between this batch and last: this batch is 6 gallons, the last one was 5. Also, for the second batch I used ranched yeast which I pitched to a starter. My first time doing this. Should I be worried about this abnormally long fermentation time?

the variables in yeast pitching rate and volume could result in a longer fermentation but that's nothing to worry about and there is nothing you can do about it anyway. being able to repeat our best beer is what we are all after and it can be hard to do but it's fun trying.
