Apparently it's just as hard as distinguishing between homophones or learning to use apostophes correctly. Welcome to teh interwebz, home of orphan apostrophes. We luvz tehm so much, we putz dem everywhere.

Is a 'homophone' a word to describe when you call someone who has the 'exact' same kind of 'phone' as you? Is 'that' what you mean? Or are you describing something 'else'? '?' '?'

IOW... WYTBW?

I may have to start a new thread about /0 since it looks a lot like dividing by zero which is infinite. If there are five people with /0 that means infinity times 5 but infinite is infinite..... thus, the thread could be read and no further answers required if people agree with the first person who put down /0.

Yikes!!! You'd think that it was Saturday night and I had just sampled five or six of every brew I have in the house! But it's Sunday morning.

I'll stop now!

It's actually code. /0 is the null symbol, meaning you are assigning no data to a specific memory location.

Oh, and as far as dividing by zero..... Chuck Norris can divide by zero

Look at your basic GUI calculator, most use the "/" for the division symbol. wrong or not /0 in that context = Divide by Zero. A cataclysmic paradoxical ending of the universe for that mathmatical computation.

Divided by zero is undefined. Not infinite. Doesn't exist really.

For me it's the guys who start their post with "OK" or "Okay". What's with that? The windup before the pitch?

So I'm sitting here thinking the same thing about the guys who begin their post with "So".

Okay......... soooo I was thinking about what you said and I agree. Very annoying

Question: Ok, soooo is /0 infinite, undefinable, or null? :D -1 OP!

Is this better?

Does Mr. Norris also have insight into Fourier transforms? Or does that not add anything to the flavour of a perfectly hopped IPA?

Or... +1

You are all a bunch of nerds :) I knew this thread would get hit a million times, which is part of the reason i posted it. And I didn't throw the laptop out the window. I was actually busy building a brew rig over the weekend.

"Some of this forum jargon is really getting annoying to me. If I see another
+1 I'm going to throw this laptop out the damn window."
I hate it when brewers send me samples of their beer...:ban:
