If I brew with plain sugar what kind of beer am I brewing

Beo, if you have more bread yeast you can boil a couple of tbs, then cool and add to the fermenter for nutrients. Good luck.

i've it and tried it before...didn't work, just tried again with a yeast cake. still a no go for me.

Interesting. I mean the boiled yeast thing is all over the place. I personally use fermade O or DAP.
