Just a shout-out here for Dickel #12, a great whiskey that makes for great jokes as the evening wears on. Best tennessee whiskey, imo.

Knob Creek is my favorite reasonably affordable bourbon, though I actually like Old Heaven Hill a lot for everyday sipping. Moving up the scale, I love Baker's and Staff. Elijah Craig got a mention, and is great, but really expensive here. I could get it cheap when I lived in CA, and used to drink it all the time. Maker's Mark is, to me, pretty overpriced- good bourbon, but a better job of branding.

Not much of a bourbon drinker... but I do enjoy Woodford Reserve and Bulleit occasionally.

I'm an Evan Williams 10yo man myself for bourbon. Unfortunately my tastes for scotch is in a much higher price bracket.
