I recently indulged in some of New Belgium's Hoptober golden ale. In reading its contents, I decided to brew somewhat of a Hoptober clone.
My recipe included two-row pale malt, wheat extract, and flaked oats, as well as enough hops to give it a nice aroma and minor bitterness. It's two weeks bottled now, btw, and is drinkable but has room for improvement.
Now, the beer is cloudy and isn't very bodied. I didn't use moss or whirlfloc, and I only used about 1.5lb of two-row for my one gallon brew, along with 0.5lb wheat extract and about 0.25lb oats. Sorry, I don't have the recipe for reference atm.
Has anyone brewed something similar and had delicious results?
