I am just starting to get in to collecting tap handles. I hear that it is addictive, so I will have to watch my wallet. The question is, where do collectors get their taps? I am looking at Craigslist and eBay, but I would rather get some more of the local taps, like Bell's, Founders, et cetera.
Has anybody had any luck going to local bars and asking about buying tap handles when seasonal beers are no longer available on tap? What about other avenues? Do beer distributors have access to them? I'm trying to think outside the box and find other avenues of acquisition that don't involve a PayPal account.
