I searched but can't seem to find the info on how much liquid yeast (white labs SF Lager) to use for a 1 gallon batch. My previous 1 gallon batches from kits all used 1/2 packet of dry yeast and one of them called for a whole smack pack. Now I've got the White Labs vial of liquid yeast that says 1-per 5 gallons. How much for 1 gallon? I'm assuming not 1/5 for some reason?

I just did a 1 gallon and my LHBS recommended 1/5. Or a double pitch. It's still in the secondary so I don't know how it taste yet, but it did ferment.
Good luck,

Yes, the entire vial, white labs vials are intended to be used with a starter I believe. Or you could make a starter with it, then pitch 1/5th of the starter.
