It's cumulative from everybody's brews for the year. You said you've brewed 70 gallons so far this year, I've brewed 65, and how many other people have brewed this year all add up to the big number. I doubt that I'm anywhere close to that much beer brewed in my lifetime, so I need to step it up a little.
