How many brews through a Balcones Barrel?

I have a blue corn Balcones barrel I got last November. Had run a 9% Stout for 2 months then a 14% quad for 4 months. Both turned out great. I have a 7% porter in there now and was planning on leaving for another month or so. Trying to figure out what to do with the barrel when the porter comes out

How many beers do you typically put through a Balcones Barrel before they start to sour? Can you sanitize to keep it clean?

I have not left the Barrel dry since before it's first fill but wondering if I should try another potentially clean beer or do something else that if it sours its no big deal. That was my plan with the porter and I'm not seeing any signs of bugs in it...... yet

Suggestions for next beer?
 
I think the rule of thumb is two clean and after is a risk. I'd try a saison or trippel next.
