How long does it take to cool a keg?

I moved a 5 gal. corny of stout into the ~36°F kegerator from a ~65°F closet. In your experience, about how many hours (or days) should it take to equilibrate?

My guess is it will be nice and cool by the time 24 hours rolls around.

I've kegged in the morning and carbed in the late afternoon, so I'd say at least 8 hours.

5 gallons has a lot of thermal mass.
