So I finally got a kegerator and dove right into the process.

I charged my keg at 40psi for about 12 hours, then dropped to 30 for about 18 and then let it sit at 12psi for about 12 hours. Obviously I purged between each of those steps.

The pour seems to be pretty good, I can fill a pint in about 15 seconds. Is that normal speed, or should it be a little faster? I'm not upset with the speed, just curious.

If you aren’t complaining about too much foam or not enough carbonation, it is exactly the right speed!

thanks guys. I figured this was one of those things where if its working you shouldnt worry about it. I'm sure I will figure out how to stabilize everything and get great pours all the time. Already kicked the first keg. Kegs seem to go a little faster than bottles. Probably since I can't judge how much beer is left in the keg, so we just keep drinking.
