How do you remove poppet valves?

How do you remove poppet valves?..I could have bottled 17.5 cases a beer in the time i wasted trying to remove this stupid poppet

How do you remove poppet valves?..I could have bottled 17.5 cases a beer in the time i wasted trying to remove this stupid poppet

I use a little fork and press down on the poppet and it pops out the bottom. Except for one challenger keg brand I have- that one is much harder and the "feet" sit inside the top. For that one, I have to pry a foot toward the inside, and then it slides out.

I use a chopstick and a hammer.
