I'm making a porter recipe that calls for 8 oz. of Bakers Chocolate, but I'm unsure of the best way to use it in the beer. The recipe says to just add it for the whole boil, but do I want to just throw in the eight 1oz squares, or do I want to chop them up really finely then add them in, or do I want to melt them in a double boiler then dump? Thanks guys!

the chocolate is going to melt anyways in boiling wort. you can just toss in the 1oz squares or if you feel like it chop em up more, but if it were me i'd just toss the whole 8oz in the boil pot
