he's an ATX friend who has been quite helpful in my budding brewing career.

One of my local homebrew store guys mentioned the forum as a good knowledge base, also most google searches related to brewing have a pretty relevant forum post. Been lurking a while, finally decided to post!

I was at a herf (cigar smokers gathering) and someone had brought some homebrew and mentioned that this site was packed with information and tips.

It has exceeded my expectations :mug:

I was looking for porn.

Google and lots of useless links later..

I gave up and started reading about beer,

which is almost pornographic in itself,

being that both are a naked art.

what you don't brew nude?

Was looking for some answers on my first all grain, and found HBT. L:mug:ooking forward to learning more about by new hobby.

I've been using Midwest Supplies Brewing Forum, and wanted to find something more local. Googled brewing forums and found this site.

Primary: maybe Cyser this weekend
Secondary: Nada
Bottled: Cider(2-5gal batches), Brewersbest Scottish Ale

I found this site when I was looking for information on lagering. I'm from Milwaukee, WI. So far I've found this site to be great:mug:

Like millions of others I typed "Mr. Beer" into goooooooogle. Now, I spend my days browsing the forums, reading "Homebrewing for Dummies" and "The Homebrewers Companion" and whispering to my fermenters while I gently stroke their sides.

Well, with the aid of this forum I've worked out quite a few kinks in my brewing. As a consequence, I cannot exactly remember how I found HBT.:cross:

I was given this link from my brother who is registered as razyrsharpe, I think. We began homebrewing several years ago (10?) and I asked him for a site to discuss these topics!

Seems like everytime I typed in a question I had about homebrew I was lead to this site. Figured I should just join up and add what little I can here and there and learn for those who have already mastered the problems or questions I may have.
Really a nice forum!

Hey everyone. First post. My first batch is in the fermenter right now. I have googled several things that I didn't find in any of the books I have and this site kept coming up. I am already hooked on brewing!

I just googled home brew and it came up, however, once I started checking it out I realized its the same site my buddy MrColdOnes has been on.

Just searched for home brewing on Google and found this great site. Im new and hopefully learn quickly. I can always use some help!

It looks like Google is HBT's most effective recruiter. That's how I found this forum. Just another item on the long list of things that make me average. I guess I will have to set myself apart by brewing some superior beer.

My journey to homebrewing is just begining...and I thought that my Christmas gift of a starter kit would get me going. I have read The Complete Joy of Home Brewing and How to Brew in their entirety as well as at least 75 hours of HBT, but am still awaiting equipment to arrive to brew my first batch! 500 bucks later I think I will be good to brew with only the need for a few upgrades to go AG. First brew pot, 10 gal megapot $129. First burner, Bayou SQ14 $50. First IC, 50' 3/8" Cu $65. Several fermentation vessels, 100 bottles, some DIY equipment, and much more... I can't wait to use all this stuff and make some beer! Austin Home Brew Supply...please hurry my backordered brew pot along!

Welcome to the awesome world of home brewing! That is how i started...but if you ask my wife...i didnt stop there and it probably never will..there are soooo many cool toys for homebrewin and then there is the whole aspect of what to do once the brew is ready for bottleing vs kegging..then well you need a place to dispense and enjoy (man cave) then....well you will see.
Again Welcome

Google, searching for answers as to why my beer was not fermenting (Answer: I had to wait longer)

Yet another google guided sole. Was searching for info on brewing hard cider and after 2-3 times ending up on this site for the information I was looking for figured I'd join.

Google for me as well. I had a number of questions about my first homebrew and every time I googled it , I found this forum to be very helpfull. Thanks!

I did a google search for hard cider and EdWorts Apfelwein thread came up, after reading the first 30 pages I was hooked and now I just need to pickup some juice.

I am certain is was through Google on a question I had -- perhaps on a carbonation issue or trying to find some information about making a clone beer of some sort.
