Just finished this hop basket and will put it to use this weekend. It is made out of perforated 304 sheet. It is 8 inches in diameter and about 16.5" tall. The bottom is solid and has a 1" ring on the bottom. I'm thinking hop pellets will settle down in the bottom. I know the mesh will work great for leaf hops. I had an old ounce of cascade pellet hops that I have had for over 3 years, that I found in my old refridgerator. I tried spraying them with hot water for about 5 minutes or so. The mesh retained probably 90 percent of the material. So if I use exclusively pellet hops, I may have to line the inside with some finer mesh.
