I have to say that for a "first post" yours is unusual if not totally unprecedented - not that there's anything wrong with that!
Where I live the weather would make them a pain to maintain but from what I've been seeing the last many years wrt outdoor furniture in much warmer climes there's been a trend towards soft furniture using textiles like Sunbrella, Solartex and others that can stand up to the sun and not come apart from exposure to rain. Stick an eye catching table in the middle and you could create a pretty comfortable scene like this...
