Hello all. My name is Mike. I've been a lurker for years and finally decided to actually make an account here. I've been brewing for a while and had many a successful brews. Currently I'm drinking a Kolsch and have a clone of Maduro Brown Ale by Cigar City in primary as of yesterday.

I live in LA, specifically North Hollywood, and try to occasionally make it to the Maltose Falcons meetings.

Is there anyone else here living in 'the valley'?

Hi Mike, welcome to the community! First time I had a Maduro was at Cigar City Brewery and I loved it. Great brown ale and not easy to clone. If yours comes out close you have to post the recipe!

Thanks all for the warm welcomes!

@jcav I had to go figure out how to make my recipe public; here ya go

I try to use American grain in my recipes because they're easier to come by at my LHBS. I tried to do a live stream of the brewday, but of course technical difficulties made for a sub-par stream. Some of the stream got cut off and one of the camera's didn't work for half the day.

Warning: it's not terribly exciting content!

Hey that looks like a good recipe! How do you think it compares to the real Maduro? I just might have to try yours and brew it up. Thanks for posting!
