Hi. I need help. Just tried my scottish 140 w glenlivits 12 yr. Carbed with 5oz priming sugar. Carbed 14 days and tasted and came out awsome. My neighbor tried week after and said it was perfect, but now 2 weeks later its foaming over. Can't figure out why. Please if anyone has an idea please share. Thank you.

First two houghts:

1. Overcarbed. Week one was still carbing, Week 2 was still carbing. This could be from too much priming sugar, or you weren't done with fermentation due to a stalled fermentation.

2. Contamination/infection. Possible Contamination from bottle not being clean or from mishandling of something along the way. Gushes... open it over the sink cause those babies are like mini-volcanos.
