I'm new here... I've been looking and thinking about mead making for several years now, and have dabbled in some stuff here and there...I'm from the south where we have the glorious muscadine grape!!! Now when I think of the juice from this fabulous grape and honey together, I think that must be what the "nectar of the gods" must taste like... So, I think I'm on a quest... Hmmm, where to start...I want golden sweetness with a kick!!!

I make a jelly every year from my scuppernong vine, it's the best jelly in the world to me... And most people that have tried it agree as well... Very sweet....now if I could just figure out how to drink it...that may end up as a problem for me.... As I am looking for a version of muscadine/honey koolaid with an alcohol kick...I want very sweet... I want to bask in its glory... What I don't want are the wine flavors or the wine aroma...at least not very strong anyways... I want the sweetness to come thru more than anything... This could take a lot of experimenting, but I'm on a quest to get it before I die...when I do, I will bottle it, and I will name it nectar of the gods, and it will be fabulous, and anyone who drinks it will feel as Aphrodite has kissed them, and Midas has touched them...yeah!!! Lol
