Herms coil for 1 BBL ?

A friend and I put together a 1+ BBL system. It's, 3- 55 gallon drums converted, and we want to go electric and HERMS. I have never used a HERMS so my questions are, What size and length tubing will be effective? Will 50' of 1/2'' do it, or 25' of 5/8''. Will it be able to raise to mash out temps in a timely manor? Also' we're using march pumps.

It seems like most people are using 50 ft 1/2 in coils, but in order to step up to a barrel, I would think you'd need the 5/8 in. This article might help you run some rough numbers. http://brewlikeapro.net/heatexchangers.html
