Hi all, I have a few .pdf tables on my website Winning-Homebrew.com that I thought I would share.

One of my most popular pages is the Specific Gravity to Brix Converstion Table. Download a pdf here.

Another nice table is the hydrometer temperature conversion table. Download a pdf here.

Something nice to have close to your kegerator or keezer is a keg carbonation chart. Download the pdf here.

And finally, for those who still use Brewing Classic Styles (like I do), I made a spreadsheet that links the ingredients to the recipes in the book (something the index did not do). So, if you have a particular yeast, or malt, or adjunct on hand and want to match a recipe from the book, you can use the spreadsheet to do that. Be advised that the file is zipped and you will have to unzip it to use it. Download Jamil's Recipe database here.

That's all I have right now. Check out my blog called Winning-Homebrew News!

Cheers!!

I generally find it much easier to use the ASBC polynomial for conversion to Plato

°P = ((135.997*S-630.272)*S +1111.14)*S-616.868

Also, for correction of hydrometer readings (in °P)

°P (corrected) = P + 0.000383644+0.0496253*(T-20)-6.35525e-05*P+0.00110774*(T-20)^2+0.00091996*(T-20)*P+1.36646e-05*P^2

where P is the uncorrected reading and T is the temperature in °C. Obviously corrects to 20 °C. This is based on ASBC MOA Beer - 3

Just paste these into a spreadsheet, substitute appropriate cell addresses for S, P and T and Bob's your uncle.

Reading this reminds me of just how ignorant I am.

I wouldn't be so hard on yourself... You just haven't had the need to learn that.

You can just use a conversion app. If you don't trust the equation that app uses try another one. If that doesn't help then look up the equations.
