I came across this today while bottling my beer. As a little background, this is a pale ale clocking in about 4.5% ABV. I let it ferment for 2 weeks and then dry hopped in the primary with hop pellets in a hop bag for an additional week. I soaked the hop bag in 2-week old Star San as I've heard it will last about that long. There were no signs of pellicle after the initial two weeks of fermentation. Could I have introduced something into my beer when I dry hopped? I smelled it and tasted it and it seemed fine. I used WL001 yeast and I never seen this with it before so I don't think it is the yeast.
