Hi everyone my name is Caleb born and raised in good old West Virginia. I just bottled up my first batch of homebrew last night. I used a kit recipe for Oktoberfest which smelled great prior to bottling; I can't wait to drink some in 2 weeks. Well I hope to get away from using a kit on my next batch. :mug:

Hello Caleb. Congrats on the first brew. My first (a german Kolsch) is in my first bucket for 2 days now. I can't wait!!!!!

Word Caleb. I'm also waiting on my first batch. It's a Nut Brown Ale in the secondary right with about a week to go. It's worse than waiting for Christmas when you're 7 years old!

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. I actually started fermenting some apple cider so I guess that is my second batch haha. I figure the next will be beer again not sure what just yet though.

Thats what I did. I brewed a batch first. Then while I was waiting for my ingredients to come in the mail, I bought apple juice and made some Apfelwein! Just couldn't wait!

:drunk:

Hey, I'm also from Dub-Vee and just started brewing... enrolled at Marshall right now... my first batch is currently in secondary: a dry hopped pale ale.
