Wanted to introduce myself.
Was just getting back into brewing after a move and getting my home brewery rebuilt. I brewed my first batch (Export lager from a kit) in May, 1990,,,,,,, so i've been at this a while, though not gotten as deeply involved as many. Can't believe i've not joined a brewing forum yet,,,,,,, but never too old to learn and to share.
I had gotten away from all grain for a while, but am now refreshed and ready to go back. I use an all eletric HERMS and boiler, typically do 10 gallon batches. I made a dozen trips to Germany between 2007 and 2008, all but one were in and out of Dusseldorf,,,,,,,,,,, so i'm quite facsinated with ALT (my favorite), and with a few side trips to Koln, Kolsch is on the list now too ;-).
Looking forward to learning more and sharing my experiences.
