just surfin around and found this jewel of a forum.....i'm from Tucson, AZ and have been brewing only for about a year now.....looking forward to hanging out here....peace :tank:

just brewing extract at the moment.....and steeping grains to flavor it up a bit...i'm trying to learn as much as i can.....i plan on getting into partial and all grain brews very soon.....

i like to brew really hoppy pale ales and IPA's....i got a honey brown in my primary right now....my IPA's clarifying for another week before carbonation.....

San Diego IPA:
5 gallons
Starting Gravity - 1.063
Final Gravity - 1.016
ABV - 6.1%
Color SRM - 11.3
Hop IBU's - 61.9

Ingredients:
7 lbs. Light Dry Malt Extract
1 lb. Crystal Malt (Grain)
.50 lb. Victory Malt (Grain)
1.5 oz. Centennial (Bittering)
1 oz. Cascade (Flavor)
1 oz. Cascade (Aroma-Dry Hop)
1 pk. Nottingham Brewing Yeast (11 g.)

Honey Brown Ale
5 gallons
Starting Gravity - 1.054
Final Gravity - 1.013
ABV - 5.2%
Color SRM - 23L
Hop IBU's - 25

Ingredients:
4 lbs. Amber Dry Malt Extract
1 lb. Clover Honey
1 lb. Crystal Malt (Grain)
.50 lb. Light Munich Malt (Grain)
1 oz. Fuggle (Bittering)
1 oz. Kent Golding (Flavor)
4 oz. Clover Honey (Priming)
1 pk. Nottingham Brewing Yeast (11 g.)
