Hey everyone! As the title suggests I live in the NW suburbs of Chicago and like some others out there I began brewing after reading the first third of Charlie Papazian's book "The Complete Joy of Home Brewing." I recreated his first recipe and ever since that first batch in August of 2009 I have been slowly getting more into the hobby. I am currently brewing extract recipes but I hope to get an all-grain under my belt in the next 6-8 months.
The forum has been a great resource for me since joining, so thanks to everyone who contributes and I hope to one day be able to contribute as much as I have learned. Cheers!
