there's 70...

I was posting about it on another thread too... I organized a group buy of 70 cornies from pedalbiker for my homebrew club. Only half a dozen of those are set aside for me and the rest is going to the club.

I thought it was too good of a pic to not tag onto this thread

Keep em.

Convert your garage into a walk in cooler, install taps all along one of the exterior walls.

Cape brewing, that is completely over the top, insane, crazy. I don't speak engineer, so I have no idea what you wrote, but dang. The pics. Wow. The pics. I say that alot on this site. Hats off to you. WOW. Are those bales of straw the key ingreident for your staw pale ale?

TxLaw, thanks!
CBBaron: I'm working up to that. I still have pipe dreams for a 10 or so tap kegerator, so I need even more kegs. I keep my eyes out for deals. I don't think I've paid more than 20 a piece for any of mine so far.

I keep waiting for Jester or Biermuncher or orfy to lay smackdown on all of us with their stash.

Sacc: I have no clue what BB code is, not much of a HTML guy here....

cheers.

Nah... those hay bails are left over from doing a hay-ride for my two sons and four other little kids from the neighborhood. I tossed all of them and a few parents onto a utility trailer I have and pulled it around the neighborhood with my lawn tractor. Good times had by all.

In terms of the "engineer speak"... beleive me, my rig is nothing compared to some of the set-ups guys on this site have. Mine's kinda standard for "fancy setups" and others on this site have ones that put mine to shame. It's not about how fancy it is though, it's all about the fun of building it and getting it to work for me. As it's been said a million times on this site, you can make really incredible extract beer and you can make HORRIBLE all-grain beer. The set-up doesn't make the beer, the brewer does.

If you're looking for kegs and can round up a couple guys... those kegs that are in that picture were $10 a peice plus shipping... so it was about $11.50 per keg. Then you have to buy new o-rings, which you can get from McMaster for about a buck a keg. And then you have to clean 'em which is no biggie.

$12.50 per keg is damn good. I got them from pedalbiker on this site. He requires a purchase of at least 25 though.

All I have to say after reading all of this is...holy balls

And do any of you have an interest in adopting a college student?

I have four kegs going at once an I have a hard time keeping up with demand from friends and my own unquenchable thirst!!!! :(

Ditto...As soon as I empty one keg.. I fill another and than another is empty..so I brew a double batch and than I have 10 cases of empty bottles..so I fill the bottles..than another tap is floated..so I tap another keg..than I have a bunch of empty kegs..so I brew another double batch..and fill the kegs..than another tap is floated so I brew 2 double batches...AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH..

The only solution I can see is to get a 42 gallon Blinchmann modular fermentor.....:D

its a hard life..but someone has to do it.....

When you pull up the image in your gallery at the bottom there are three URLs. The second one is the code you can put in your post to embed the image which is labeled "BB code". It's bracket-IMG-bracket-something something...

Its all MINE, well..when SWMBO lets me have it!!!

dial up really sucks when dealing with pictures.....

enjoy. beer porn right here.

EDIT:Sacc: this thread is brought to us by YOU! No way I would have figured that BB stuff out.

Don't hate me for the Baltika boxes. Hate the beer, but LOVE the bottles. 12 aint nearly enough, and 22 sometimes is to much.
Ogh yeah, Cape, my brewing equipment, minus the propane bottle & burner is visable in the pics. Compensating for something are yuh?

HA HA!!!!

Not at all man... don't make me post pics that'll get me kicked off this site!

... as I've said a bunch of times... I just really enjoy the build part. There's nothing better than sitting back at the end of building something a little excessive and enjoying the fruits of your labor.

I'm a lucky one. I've got a corner of the basement that's mine all mine all mine. Except for the part thats the meat freezer, and the washer/dryer & the furnace.. and all those boxes that SWMBO never opened after she moved in, and all her 30 gallon tuperware tubs of winter/summer clothes. Well, I least I have the spare office. Except for the computer desk.. and the other computer desk, and the 3 boohshelves. At least I have my beer fridge in there.

Great. I typed a run-on paragraph.

I have plans for the upstairs fridge. Buy *her* a new one so I can have the old one for another brew fridge. Wow, I sound like Laughing Gnome scheming against his SWMBO.

I'll stop typing now.

Sweet, Now That I mastered BB code or whatever, check out my new pic onder my name! I'm like a HTML god or something now.

havent progressed to emoticoms, so ***banana happy dance***

One day they all of these will be filled. Currently there are my two keggles on the left, one with a pot in it and another with a bucket. Then all the Sanke's are filled with wine. The corny's are mostly empty, though one is full of some Rose, another with a mild brown, and one with some other stuff that is just awful and should be thrown out. I make more wine than I do beer right now so I will make an effort to balance the two out. :D

After reading this post, I realize that while I may brew a lot, in no way could I be considered going overboard. Thanks all, now I just need to get some more kegs, meads, ciders take a while to properly bulk age.

Just added this new stuff to the stash:
8 Cornelius Kegs w/ball lock doo-hickies
2 20lb CO2 tanks (1 with dual regulator, 1 without, both 1/2 full plus)
1 Chest freezer (will hold 3 kegs + tank, 5 with a collar)
1 Ranco temp controller
2 6.5 gal Glass Carboys
1 5.5 gal Glass Carboy
1 Copper Wort Chiller (rinky dink will use for ice bath per-chiller)
Plastic 6 gallon bottling bucket w/ spigot
Plastic 6 gallon fermenting buckt
2 picnic taps
50 swingtop bottles
1 plastic 6 gallon primary fermenter,
1 glass 5 gallon carboy,
2 glass 3 gallon carboy,
2 glass 1 gallon carboy,
2 case (12) of green champagne bottoms,
2 case (12) of 750ml clear bottles,
2 cases (23) 375ml cobolt blue bottles,
2 case (11) 750ml cobolt blue bottles,
50 odd size/shape/color wine bottles
Grab bag of airlocks, stoppers & etc.

Also just as add ons I got 1 more case of random wine bottles, 2 cases of random flip to bottles & 3 cases of grolsch bottles.

I now have 13 fermentation vessels currently fermenting & enough empties to bottle all of it, or enough empty kegs to keg the whole lot.

I'm gearing up to dedicate 1 carboy to aphelwine & 2 carboys to wine starting at Christmas.

SWEET!

Are you a ridiculously hot female college student with questionable morals and a love for beer?

Damn it only took a month for me to repost here.

Cape I'm a really hot female college student with a beard, size 13 feet, and no yabos...and I'm still up for adoption (I have no idea why)...My one redeeming quality is that I do have a love for beer.

Ok, I lied about the hot girl part, but I happen to know quite a few...how about a peace offering. Couple coeds for some beer?

Holy crap.

I had no idea that Marion was so cool.

All the times I've been there I'm thinking, well sure, yeah, nice, kinda like Vermont; rolling hills, cows, farmland, animals, clean air, grass; open space, breathing room, but kinda too much country for me.

Now I realize, yes.

Marion is purty farkin sweayht.

Jsullivan,

Holler next time you're in my neck of the woods, I've always got some kinda of decent beer around here.

Marion is a great place to be from, I love it. Small town but Bristol/Wytheville are both close enough if we need anything.
