I have been doing lots of reading and watching and I have a couple of questions. I picked up a Sixpack of Oberon yesterday and put it in the fridge. It was the freshest bell's I could find and was bottled in late june. I was planning on using 4 bottles or more to add to a weak dme starter (1.02). Not sure how much and if I can use my 2l flask and stir plate. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I would collect the slurry from the bottom of all 6 and then build a starter from that. Done this many times, easy peasy

You have a stir plate, right? No need to get all fancy. I took the dregs of a single bottle of Oberon (about as old as yours) and put it into 150 ml of wort on the stir plate for 36 hours. Then I stepped it up to 1.2 L. This is the result after another 36 hours.
