Growlers?

Hey, I like the idea of Growlers, mostly cuz they look cool. I used to work at a brewery where you can have all the beer you want so long as you brought your own growler.

I noticed that if you didn't finish off your beer pretty quickly though, it went flat just as quick. Anyone have any expereince with Growlers in home brewing?

Advantages? Disadvantages? Interesting stories?

I fill growlers from my keg to bring to friend's homes all the time. Just like the ones you get from a brewery they are meant to be consumed in a day or two, not for storage purposes. Just like a once opened 2 liter bottle they will lose carbonation.
