I saw a video of a guy using growlers for fermentation. Thought that's a hell of a idea. Take enough wort to fill a growler and place the rest in your carboy/bucket. Leave your main fermenter alone and test the growler only. Seems easier to get samples and less likely to get infections since you wouldn't
have to touch your carboy or bucket.

Anyone doing this? Any ideas why this wouldn't be a good idea?

Thanks,
Ben

Way more sample than I would need and since I have a tap on each of my fermentation buckets, drawing a fresh sample is a no-brainer.
