Hello all. I am a new home brewer from Mattoon Il. I started with the Mr. Beer kit and made 4 or 5 really good batches with that. I am now starting 5 gallon extract brewing. I have taken a class offered at my local community college called beermaking 101. I learned a lot about brewing. I brewed my first batch on Monday. It was a Witbier from brewers best. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone. In my spare time I am also a competition bbq cook. My team name is Smokey J's BBQ. Howdy, I'm in Western KY now, but went to EIU from 1995-99 and am from Champaign area originally. Good to hear folks are brewing around there. Wish I had been back then.
