So I'm considering doing a green tea cream APA in the future. It will look something like this:

OG: 1.063
FG: 1.021
IBU: 45

11 lb 2-row (80%)
1 lb Crystal 20 (7.3%)
0.75 lb Carapils (5.5%)
1 lb Lactose (7.3%)

Mash around 150 for 60 minutes.

1 oz of Citra, Amarillo and Cascade at 10 min and 5 min

Maybe some sort of dry hopping with those hops

And then after fermentation is complete, I'll add matcha (green tea powder) to taste, probably at the same time as dry hopping, or maybe when I keg. I'll play around with a single pint of pale to see how much I want to add before doing this. The citrus/green tea/cream flavors should all go together well.

What do you think?

I'm curious how this turned out. I've been thinking about a matcha ale for the summer, and in my research I haven't seen much discussion of people actually using matcha in their beer.
