Anyone do this? I wonder if it help cut down trub a bit by keeping flour down to a minimum? I've been reading up on it and it sounds like something I may give a try.

I have done this the last few batches; it has improved my efficiency a few
points. It also reduces dust when dumping the grist in the bag.

Brewed my first batch with conditioned malt. I went with 2% water by weight which turned out to about 2oz water for 5.5lbs of malt.

It was a good looking crush, had less flour than a dry crush, mil setting at .030. It seemed fluffier or fuller with less shredded husks.

When it came time to pull the basket it seemed to drain much better than previous dry crushes.

I think I had a little less trub than in the past but not by much. Mash efficiency was the same as usual.
