Looking for tips and feedback on making Graf in a SMaSH style.
So far I have made ciders but not beer. I want to make 1 gallon of graf using 0.5 gallon apple juice (cider) and 1 lb of DME (Breiss Pale Ale) along with an undecided amount of Cascade hops (maybe 0.5 oz).
I understand the hops/DME will need to boil, so I will boil 0.5 gallon of water and mix in the juice to aid in chilling afterwards.
Would I need an ale yeast for this project? I have cider house select yeast which are "estery".
