Putting together a German Brew gift for a relative but not well educated in Germans. Want to put a flight together for him - light to dark. Any good suggestions?

Light: helles, hefeweizen
Medium: Marzen, alt
Dark: Dunkelweizen, Aventinus (but don't let him/her drive afterward...)

hefeweizen, alt bier, shwarzbier, kolsch.....

+1 if you can't do lagers like Bocks or Helles. And technically schwartzbiers are lagers, but you could use Alt or Kolsch yeast and get it real close, especially if you can cold store the keg or bottles at 35F for a few weeks after brewing.

And when I die, just fill my coffin up with these beers please. They are all delicious.
