Hi all, just got back into the home brewing game after a hiatus. I'm starting with a Cooper's home brew kit (after a few big failures the first time round)!

I'm keen to experiment and try some new ideas. Anyone ever tried to infuse tea or coffee into their brew? I'm a big fan of both coffee and chai.

Cheers! :mug:

Gidday mate, from a Kiwi across the ditch. Welcome to the forum, there's a Goldmine of information here.
I usually put a cup of stewed tea in my brew, doesn't affect the flavour much but the Tannin provides a useful source of yeast nutrients.
Cheers

Welcome! Where in Aussie you from? I spent 6 months in Brisbane. I've put coffee in beer many times, just cold brew it first, it works great.

I've used herbal teas and coffee, but never a standard tea. Kind of dry & toasty down there, I understand.

Thanks for the tips and welcome. Appreciate it.

I'm from Sydney (where it's a toasty 94F today)! I've just started a honey wheat beer for a late summer brew. Fingers crossed the heat doesn't kill it off!
