Once you have made the finest beer there is and ready for a fruit addition in the secondary, how do you go about sanitizing the fresh fruit you pick in the wild while keeping the flavor intact? Thanks folks.

I have mulberries in mind there is an open field of them near my house. You think just by running water over them would be enough? Often any pressure, even from picking will burst them. I'm thinking of doing a Belgian White for it.

If not using right away freeze them - if not just add them in - the booze in your homebrew is enough - if it isn't you'll get some nice local yeast character from the fruit
