I'm trying to figure out what the ABV of my Hefeweizen will be. I started a little low at 1.043 I just added three pounds of blueberries. My question how do you calculate ABV now that the blueberries have been added. Won't that throw off the OG-FG?

Fruit will lower the OG because it's more water than sugar. Not sure how many points it will lower the OG because I've never felt compelled to put blueberries in my beer.

I disagree with Nateo. Fruit will increase the gravity in a beer. Approximate sugar content of 1 lbs of soft fruit hss about the equivalent of 0.1 lbs of cane sugar. In 5 gallons, 1 lb of fruit will increase the gravity by about .001. So 3 lbs will increase it by .003
